The IAM® - Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique is a powerful tool for our spiritual growth.
Amma has said that this meditation acts on a very subtle level -- eradicating all our negative tendencies, slowly but surely, and gives obvious practical results very fast.
She has assured us that if we practice IAM regularly we will see all aspects of our lives improve.

PNW Winter Retreat Report, Photos |
As snow blanketed the Pacific Northwest leading up to the winter retreat last weekend, prayers were offered up to Amma asking for guidance to continue planning our annual event!
Although the region itself was deep in several inches of snow (Port Angeles reported 3 feet at one point!), Whidbey enjoyed a run of warmer weather that melted the snow at Camp Casey.
Folks began arriving on Friday to unload food and supplies. Meal preparations, hall and a beautiful altar were set up by loving sevites. And on Saturday morning as people from throughout the region gathered, we were blessed with Swamiji Dayamrita arriving to spend a very special day with us. Seeing a photo of Amma’s face beaming down on all Her children from the altar, people gathered for an opening circle. Guided to wrap a ball of red yarn around our hands and pass it to the next person, we sang "We are all beads, strung together on the same thread of love." - Amma
In the afternoon Swamiji sat with us for an open-hearted Q & A session, followed by chai brought to us in the hall by devotees. In gratitude to Swamiji, we had formed such a compassionate circle of support that the Q & A extended long into the afternoon, ending with satsang, bhajans, and arati. After a nourishing dinner prepared and served by loving hands, some folks gathered to sing bhajans in the main hall while others turned up the sacred chant music and free form danced the night away with disco balls ablazin'! A clear full moon shined out over the Salish Sea as we all headed off to sleep.
Greeted in the morning by a beautiful sunrise, folks enjoyed chilly beach walks and fabulous workshops. Delicious meals and bhajans after dinner sent us all happily to bed once again. Many hands make light work, and Monday morning we had a fabulous group of people packing up and cleaning Camp Casey. We are filled with GRATITUDE for our special weekend spent together with Swamiji and our sisters and brothers in Amma. Jai Jai Ma!
