|
GreenFriends will offer three Program Guide ads this year.
The size of the ad and whether it will be a local or a national ad will depend on how much money is donated.
All proceeds will go towards Amma's 2019 Pacific Northwest Programs.
You can donate to one ad or divide your donation among two or more of the Green Friends ads.
If you want to donate to this endeavor, write Karuna Poole. She will send you payment details at that time.

| Litter Pick-Up Questionnaire |

Whether or not you pick up litter, please take some time to fill out this short Litter Pick-up questionnaire from the PNW GreenFriends Litter Project.
The questionnaire includes a cover letter followed by 8 questions. It has been taking most participants three minutes to complete the survey.

| Bring Items for TerraCycle to Winter Retreat (February 16-18) |
|
The PNW Litter Project has been collecting energy bar wrappers, drink pouches,the bags inside of cereal boxes and cigarette butts and sending them to TerraCycle for recycling for many years.
We are starting to collect empty toothpaste tubes and caps, toothpaste cartons, outer tooth brush packaging, empty floss containers and toothbrushes.
Please help Mother Nature by gathering these items and bringing them to the Winter retreat. If you aren't coming to the retreat save the items anyway.

| Forest Restoration Work Party in Seattle (February 24) |

The next GreenFriends Greenbelt Restoration work party will be on Sunday February 24 from 10 am until 1 pm.

| Cigarette Butt Pick-up Work Party (March 3) |
|
The PNW Litter Project is sponsoring our 8th annual cigarette butt pick up work party in support of of Kick Butt Day, a campaign for tobacco free kids.
The event will go from 10am to noon. We will meet at
Hing Hay Park
in the International District of Seattle, and spread out from there.
You are welcome to participate in the Seattle event, or create a similar event in your own area sometime during March.
Your effort will help keep these toxic butts out of landfills, waterways and the stomachs of fish, birds, and animals.
The cigarette butts will be sent to TerraCycle for recycling.

| IAM® - Integrated Amrita Meditation |
| March 30 & 31, 2019 |
The IAM® - Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique is a powerful tool for our spiritual growth.
Amma has said that this meditation acts on a very subtle level -- eradicating all our negative tendencies, slowly but surely, and gives obvious practical results very fast.
She has assured us that if we practice IAM regularly we will see all aspects of our lives improve.
*Note: You must attend BOTH days to complete the 2-Day Course.
The 2-Day IAM Course is offered for those people who are deeply interested in spiritual practice.
This is the IAM Course that has been offered at Amma's retreats for the past 14 years.
The Course includes Amma's spiritual teachings on meditation and practical guidance for a worry-free life.
You will learn a 35 minute practice integrating several modalities focusing on movement, breath, sound and light.

There is no charge for learning the IAM Technique, however there will be a small donation requested to cover the costs of the facility, snacks and class materials.
Typically, the amount is $15 - $20.
IAM-35 Refresher Course
If you have already taken the IAM-35 Course you are eligible to attend the IAM-35 Refresher Course, offered concurrently at the same location on
Sunday March 31st from 1pm - 3pm. Pre-registration requested to: kumudakali@gmail.com.
If you have gotten irregular with your IAM practice or just want to strengthen it, then the Refresher Course is for you!
At the Refresher you can ask questions, clarify and deepen your understanding of the technique, and be guided through the steps of practice.
Many who have attended Refresher Courses have found that they gained a great intellectual and experiential boost to their IAM practice.
You are also welcome to attend any or all of the IAM-35 class.
