Happy New Year Puja Winter Retreat
Auction Program Guide Green Friends
A New Year's Message From Br. Dayamrita Chaitanya
Dayamrita Chaitanya Dear Amma's Pacific Northwest Children,
Thank you so much to everyone for your love and support in keeping Amma's spirit alive and present in the Pacific Northwest this past year. You continue to inspire me with your dedication to Her activities throughout the region. Supporting your local satsang, Mother's Kitchen, Green Friends, ABK, IAM and so many other wonderful initiatives that embody Amma's teachings.
As Amma recently said, "Let us make the new year a blessed one through actions that spread the fragrance of love and compassion".
Let us begin this new year following Her wisdom with optimism and asking ourselves:
- How can I offer compassion to myself and others?
- How can I build connections to enrich the lives near and far?
- In what ways can I positively contribute with a renewed sense of enthusiasm?
Let us embrace 2019 with hope, faith and joy. May Amma bless everyone in this new year with peace, harmony and prosperity.
Happy New Year,
Dayamrita Chaitanya

Auction Donation Request
The winter retreat is coming AND so is the annual regional auction!
This year we are trying something new by featuring fewer items that are of a higher quality. Please contemplate bringing one high quality item and/or service donation to the winter retreat for this year's auction. Some examples: harmonium, vacation home weekend getaway, home items, massages, gift certificates for dinner, fancy and/or prasad alter items, etc... If each one of us contributes just one item, we will have all we need!
Much Love and gratitude to you from your auction committee.

An excerpt from Amma's 2015 New Year's Message that still holds true in 2019

If we want to live meaningful lives, we must keep five things in mind:
  • Never squander an opportunity to help others.
  • We should avoid using harsh words. Never speak ill of others.
  • Ensure that spiritual practices like chanting your mantra and meditation are not missed, even for a day.
  • Strive to spend at least a little time in Satsang.
  • Every day, pray with all your heart to the guru or God for purity of mind and the strength to perform good actions.
