Program Guide
March 5 Cigarette Butt Pick-up Work Party
The PNW Litter Project will be participating in Kick Butts Day again this year. Kick Butts Day is an annual event organized by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids Traditionally our way of supporting that event is to pick up cigarette butts in the International District of Seattle.
We will hold our work party on Saturday, March 5 from 10 am to noon. Please plan to come. It is fun to work together, and our effort will keep many pounds of cigarette butts out of the landfill, waterways and stomachs of birds, fish and other wildlife. We send the butts to TerraCycle to be recycled into plastic pallets.
If you donít live in the Seattle area, consider organizing a work party where you live.... or pick up cigarette butts on your own. It does not need to be on March 5.
