"The beauty and charm of selfless love and service should not die away from the face of this earth. The world should know that a life of dedication is possible, that a life inspired by love and service to humanity is possible."
- Mata Amritanandamayi
Growing up in a deeply spiritual household, “Seva” or selfless service is one of those tenets of Hinduism that I imbibed, almost by osmosis. Upon moving to BC, I connected with the Vancouver Satsang as a way to find community – others that shared my values and aspirations; kindred spirits that could help me feel more connected to this city that was now my new home. The monthly Seva that the Vancouver Satsang does - repacking food at a local not-for-profit - was a wonderful way for me to get involved in the Satsang and in the community.
Quest Food Exchange is a not-for-profit organization that offers accessibility to a variety of affordable and healthy foods for low income and marginalized individuals.
